The Government of Ireland provides the following benefits to the recipient:

Scholarship of €18,500 per year.
Contributions for fees, including non-EU fees, up to a maximum of 5,750 per year.

Eligibility Criteria for Irish Government Grants
To qualify for the Masters and Doctoral scholarships offered by the Irish government in all fields, applicants must meet the following criteria:

Required languages: English
Eligible Countries: All Countries of the World
Applicant should have first class or upper second class honors bachelor or (equivalent) degree. If the results of the undergraduate examination are not known at the time of application, the Council may award a scholarship on a provisional basis if an undergraduate bachelor’s or equivalent degree is awarded as a first-class or higher-class award. If a scholar does not have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent first-class or upper-second-class honours, they must have a master’s degree. council resolution

The applicant must not have had an unsuccessful application prior to the process, which includes strategic partner topics within the practice.
Applicant must be a new entrant to a Council Funding degree and duly approved by the relevant department or school.
Applicants applying for the Research Postgraduate Scholarship must not currently be holding the Council Postgraduate Scholarship
Applicants applying for a college Ph.D.
Applicants will fall under one of two categories on the basis of nationality and place of residence.
For Type I, applicants must meet both of the following criteria: Be a citizen of a member country of the European Economic Area (EEA) or Switzerland and have resided in an EEA member country or Switzerland, usually from 5 to 3 October for 1 year before.
