PSL Season 6 Postponed

Karachi: The league was postponed due to growing corona cases in the sixth edition of Pakistan Super League.

The league, which began on February 20, has been postponed by the Pakistan Cricket Board due to the growing cases of coronavirus in PSL6.

Pakistan Cricket Board announced immediate deferred Pakistan Super League 6 after a virtual meeting between THE PCB and team owners.

The PCB will now immediately take steps for PCR testing, corona vaccine and insulation facilities for participants from all 6 teams.

Pakistan Cricket Board Chief Executive Wasim Khan and Director Commercial BabarHamidsah will brief them on more details at a press conference held at the National Stadium Karachi at 3 pm. Video camera sensors will not be allowed to participate in press conference sans due to limited space in the press conference room, but the PCB will live stream the press conference on its YouTube channel.

On the other hand, a few hours ago, Karachi Kings Australian daniel Cristin announced his withdrawal from PSL6, which the PCB himself confirmed, saying karachi kings all-rounder Dan Cristin was departing for Dubai.

Sources said that former national team captain and Karachi Kings bowling coach Wasim Akram was also consulting to leave THE PSL as doctors advised him to leave the league immediately as he could be at risk due to diabetes

Earlier, it was confirmed by the Pakistan Cricket Board that the corona test report of 3 more players from 2 PSL6 teams had come positive. The three players will now be in insulation for 10 days.

The three players did not attend the double header matches held by HBLPSL6 on Wednesday. Their corona tests were conducted in the afternoon yesterday after the three players showed symptoms.

The HBLPSL6 Organization Committee will attend a virtual meeting with the owners and their management of all teams on Thursday, details of which will be shared later today.

It should be noted that during the sixth edition of PSL, 7 people have had positive corona tests, including 6 players and one official, while all players were offered corona vaccine by the PCB.
