Important notes regarding Vanier’s request:

A student who has completed a Vanier CGS application with ResearchNet must apply online to a Canadian institution that will be submitting their nomination. Applications cannot be submitted directly to the Vanier CGS system.
Students wishing to apply for the Vanier CGS must ensure that the institution to which they are applying for a doctorate has a Vanier CGS allocation. They must then inform the institution that they wish to be considered for the Vanier CGS.
The Center is responsible for informing candidates if their application is not up for nomination by the Secretariat. The duration of this notice may vary by institution.
Depending on its size, the institution will forward the nominations to the Secretariat.
Each student may be nominated only once. If more than one institution is interested in nominating each vanier CGS student, the student must select one institution to submit their nomination. Many nominations will not be accepted.
Students are responsible for contacting the institution for more information on selecting the appropriate government funding agency, finding the right person for communication within the department / faculty, and for advice or inquiries regarding the content and how best to submit information on their application.
The results of the Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarship will be announced in early April 2022.
