Fellowship applications are now open for the PEN America Emerging Voices Fellowship 2022. The Emerging Voices Fellowship provides a five-month in-depth training program for writers of early works from communities that are generally less represented in the publishing world.
The program is committed to advancing the work of Black writers, and works for writers who identify indigenous peoples, people of color, LGBTQ +, immigrants, writers with disabilities, and those living outside urban centers. With one-on-one formal training and presentations to editors, agents, and publishers, in addition to workshops for planning, marketing, and forum creation, five-month relationships grow the creative community, provide professional skills, and exhaust power. the path to publishing — with the ultimate goal of diversifying the printing and telecommunications industries.
