Benefits of Heinrich Boll Foundation Scholarships
Masters Studies:
- For non-EU students, the monthly stipend is €850/ month plus numerous stipends. In some cases, tuition fees are likely in Germany.
- EU students: The expanse varies, but a maximum of €649/ month plus €300 for book money; tuition fees are not likely in Germany but are likely to a limited amount in other countries.
- This scholarship covers the regular study period, which may be prolonged by one semester.
Ph.D. Studies:
- Students from outside the EU are eligible to a monthly stipend of €1,200 plus a €100 mobility stipend, plus various extra stipends; tuition fees are not possible.
- For students from the European Union: €1350/ month salary plus €100/ month stipend for research costs. There are no tuition fees in Germany, but partial fees are possible elsewhere.
- The scholarship is normally given for two years, but can be protracted twice by half a year at most.
