• The candidate’s annual income must be less than 125,000 dollars.
• Students must enroll at SUNY or CUNY campuses for their undergraduate degree programs.
• They must enroll in 12 courses and complete 30 credit hours yearly.
• After a few years, students who enter the institution must finish 30 credit hours before they can resume their degree program and apply for the scholarship program.
• Students must submit a contract stating that they will stay in New York for the remainder of their degree to be eligible for a scholarship.
• Students who have previously taken out loans can also apply for the award.

Benefits of Excelsior Scholarship 2024:

 Students that apply for the scholarship will receive the following benefits:

• The pupils will be awarded a scholarship of up to $5,500.
• Students will receive an additional resident tuition fee from SUNY 6470$ or CUNY 6330.
• The awards will not be distributed directly to the students. The amount specified will be deducted from the total tuition charge.
• The students will receive an NYS tuition assistance program award or a federal Pell grant for the following academic year.
• If there are any tuition charge leftovers, the Excelsior scholarship will not be returned through the tuition fee.
