Eligibility criteria for the Simmons University Kotzen Scholarship

Students applying for the Simmons University Kotzen Scholarship must meet the following criteria:

Required Language: English.
Eligible countries: All countries of the World
28 or more standardized test (ACT), 1300 or more (new SAT) or 1250 or more (old SAT – CR + M). A minimum of 600 in each SAT category is strongly recommended.
Apply as a freshman for the fall semester
Non-native English speakers must submit TOEFL and SAT or ACT scores
The college preparation curriculum includes a high-level mathematics course on time, or before your senior year in high school
GPA of 3.3 or higher, has no weight
Record of taking honors, priorities (AP) and international baccalaureate (IB) courses, as found in their high school programs

How do you apply for the Simmons University Kotzen Scholarship?

Please follow these steps to apply for the Simmons University Kotzen Scholarship:

Applicants must complete and submit their bursary application and application for admission to the College by December 1st.
The application consists of two parts. Short answer and official essay. Students should submit their essays via our online form or by email to gadm@simmons.edu with the headline “Kotzen Request” on December 1. On each page of the document students should submit their full names and date of birth.
Short answer (no more than 250 words): How can you use your additional $ 3000 annual prize (study abroad, short-term courses, summer internship tuition, and / or research support)?
Structured Article (no more than 500 words): In what way can a woman successfully lead in today’s world?
Interviews: The finalists selected for the course review will be required to complete a campus interview to be conducted in February. If you are an international applicant you can get to campus, Skype can be discussed instead.
