Open Door PhD and Masters Scholarships for International Students:

The Russian government has announced the International Open-Door scholarship for the fifth time. The purpose of this scholarship is to choose the best minds in the globe and attract them to Russia for higher education and research. The Open Doors Scholarship give chance to Olympiad winners to select from one of 500 Russian universities, consisting of 5 to 100 outstanding university participants/candidates in 21 projects. This year’s Open Door Olympiad consist of 14 subjects, mostly science related.

Open-door competitions are managed by a group of leading Russian universities. The whole Olympiad for Foreign Students is effort of the Federation of World Universities with the Commonwealth Federal Agency for the Affairs of Independent States and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation. In addition, Comparators Abroad and International Humanitarian Cooperation are between the organizers of the Open Doors Russian Scholarship Project Association.

The Russian scholarship is available for international students for master and doctoral programs. Students with excellent academic grades and leadership skills who want to study in Russia for free should participate in this Global Postgraduate Olympiad. There are 14 courses as of last year, and the new thing is that PhD students are allowed to apply to any of these courses. Last year, PhD students were allowed apply for only 6 groups.

To apply for the Open Door Russia Scholarship, applicants should meet the following eligibility criteria:

• Students of any nationality from anywhere in the globe are allowed to apply for the scholarship.
• Must have Copy of a valid passport
• Submit Copy of degree
• Submit Transcript
• To apply for the masters scholarships, students should have a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university or institution.
• To apply for the PhD scholarships, the applicants should have a master’s degree from a recognized university.
• Submit A statement of purpose
• Applicants have Proficiency in English or Proficiency in Russian.
